Storm Water Program

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) requires cities to have a permit for the discharge of storm water, follow Best Management Practices (BMPs) for preventing storm water pollution, and have a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).

Cities are also required to hold an annual public hearing regarding storm water. This is usually held in June of each year during a regularly scheduled City Council meeting.
